BI Incorporated location monitoring technologyCuyahoga County Juvenile Court selected BI Incorporated for a range of location monitoring systems used to support supervision of more than 150 juveniles released to community supervision.  The court finalized the one-year agreement, with possible extensions, with BI this month.

Formed in 1902, the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court is one of the oldest courts for youth nationwide. It serves the largest counties in Ohio, and oversees a detention center and many community-based services, including home detention.  The court has focused heavily on alternatives to detention in recent years, and has reduced its detention center average daily population to levels not reached since the 1950s. BI will provide BI ExacuTrack® AT, BI HomeGuard® 200 and BI HomeGuard 206, and access to BI TotalAccess® and the company’s national monitoring center.

In  a press release, Jock Waldo, Vice President of Marketing said:

“Juvenile offenders are a challenging, less predictable population to manage in the community. These location monitoring systems support home detention officers with important details on curfews, schedules and locations as they travel within the area.”

BI has worked with the juvenile court for years, beginning with a contract in 2006.
